On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, the UN’s Commission for Narcotic Drugs voted to remove “cannabis and cannabis resin” for medicinal purposes from Schedule IV of the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs , adopting a World Health Organization recommendation made last year.
