NASA has announced that July 2016 has been the hottest month ever recorded since 1880, and marked the 14th straight month of record heat. July was 0.84 degrees Celsius hotter than the international average between 1950-1980 which is widely used as a reference point, and 0.11 degrees warmer than July 2015.
