HCM City People’s Committee has proposed to build an international standard VND1.5trn (USD64m) theatre in District 2. The Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon Opera House. The theatre would be used for ballet, symphony and opera performances and play a key role in promoting the city’s cultural life.
