Haley, DeSantis face off for No.2 spot in fourth US Republican presidential debate

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley will face off at the fourth Republican presidential debate on Wednesday night in one of their last encounters before their party’s first nominating contest in Iowa in less than six weeks. With Donald Trump up by more than 40 percentage points in most opinion polls and Iowans set to choose their preferred nominee on Jan. 15, DeSantis and Haley are in a rush to establish themselves as the obvious alternative for voters looking to move beyond the former president.
