Google Pixel 9 is said to be capable of satellite emergency calls

According to a report from Android Authority, the Google Pixel 9 is said to be capable of satellite communication. Accordingly, Google is relying on Samsung’s Exynos Modem 5400 for its upcoming cell phone in order to be able to offer emergency calls via satellite in collaboration with T-Mobile in the USA. According to Android Authority, the procedure is similar to Apple’s: users who want to make an emergency call via satellite do not have to write a free text message. Instead, they click through a prepared questionnaire that asks, among other things, the number of people affected, the type of emergency and the state of health of those affected.
