He entered Bryant College in Providence, R.I., and graduated with a BSA in accounting. He met his wife, Barbara (Conklin), at Bryant College and they married April 12, 1952. Barbara passed away in 2011.
Al worked at the Holstein Association of America as an international sales representative, selling live cattle all over the world.
