The Crookston Pirate Baseball team will take on the Roseau Rams in the first round of the Section 8AA Baseball tournament in Roseau this afternoon.�
Crookston is 4-14 on the year, while Roseau is 12-7. The teams met twice during the regular season with Roseau winning both games, 10-3 and 12-2 on April 25 in Crookston.

Crookston’s first two batters were retired before Alex Longoria singled to left field to start a two-out rally. Ethan Boll popped up to the shortstop, and the ball was dropped, and the Pirates had runners on first and second base. George Widman followed with a single to left field to score Longoria, and Crookston led 1-0.
