WASHINGTON (TND) — NPR has suspended one of its senior editors after he accused the outlet of having a pronounced left-leaning bias, according to an NPR report.
NPR business desk senior editor Uri Berliner last week wrote a scathing editorial accusing the publicly funded news organization of “telling listeners how to think” through an “absence of viewpoint diversity.
Edith Chaplin, NPR’s chief news executive, addressed the comments in a memo to staff, saying Berliner’s comments only reflect a broadening of priorities in a turbulent media landscape.
