Favian Perez, who had been serving as Nevada Public Radio’s Interim CEO was named by the station’s board as President and CEO on Friday.
The announcement was made by Board Chair Don Hamrick, who said the board’s decision was unanimous.
“Favian has demonstrated his commitment [and] dedication to KNPR as well as his knowledge of the task ahead. He is best suited to lead our organization & our support is 100% behind him,” he wrote in an email to staff.
Perez has been with the organization for 10 years.
A formal announcement was expected in the coming days.
