Ramon D. Belshe, 91, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he had traveled from his residence in Dallas Texas for treatment near his son’s home.
Ray was born on January 4, 1932 in Jefferson City, Missouri and attended Moreau Heights School and Jefferson City High School.
He served in the Missouri National Guard where he learned radio repair and later worked as a serviceman for Towner Radio & TV, while attending Jefferson City Junior College and later the University of Missouri at Columbia.
In 1956 he married his friend and junior college classmate, Gayle Gruner, also of Jefferson City.
Ray graduated from MU in 1958 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and started working for the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA). Their only son Michael was born shortly thereafter. The family lived on the road for two years while Ray installed FAA navigation stations…
