Four Elmhurst University students involved with campus radio station WRSE-88.7 FM have been nominated for national awards from the Intercollegiate Broadcast Systems.
The students, as well as their faculty advisor, Lizzie Baumgartner, have been named finalists in four categories for their work at WRSE in the past year:
• Best Sports Talk Program: “The Bluejay Boys Show” with Charlie Uczen, Class of 2024, of Brookfield, Wis.; Alex Sakleh, Class of 2023, of Addison, Ill.; and Josh Diaz, Class of 2026, of North Riverside, Ill.;
• Best Sports Director: Charlie Uczen, Class of 2024;
• Best Program Director: Stephanie Cipolla, Class of 2023, of Belvidere, Ill.;
• Best Faculty Advisor: Lizzie Baumgartner, of Naperville, Ill.
