Cincinnati doesn’t have a new arena to replace the 48-year-old Heritage Bank Center, but it now has an idea of what one may look like.
At the annual meeting on Friday for Visit Cincy, the region’s convention and visitors bureau, board of directors chair Jeff Berding revealed a conceptual rendering of what a potential arena could look like. This is the first visual of a new arena that has been released to the public, designed by global sports architecture firm, Populous (the group responsible for designing TQL Stadium).
Berding, co-CEO of FC Cincinnati, also called for an independent study to look into what it might cost to build a new arena from scratch and where it might be located within the city.
