Arrested at St. Paul’s International Airport: Woman Caught Smuggling Giraffe Feces to Make Jewelry

Minneapolis: The young woman who arrived in the United States with giraffe feces was arrested. CBS News reports that the woman was stopped by customs when she arrived at St. Paul’s International Airport in Minneapolis. The woman’s explanation was that she brought the giraffe’s feces to make a necklace.

The incident took place on September 29. The woman said that while on vacation in Kenya, she got giraffe excrement and wanted to make jewelry out of it. She added that this is not the first time she has used animal excrement to make jewelry. Customs officials destroyed the giraffe’s droppings in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture destruction protocol.
