Kingston, ON- CFRC 101.9 FM Radio Queen’s University will air three radio dramas performed exclusively by local youth campers who participated in the station’s first ever Shortwave Radio Theatre Camp summer series.
In response to earlier inquiries from local parents about opportunities for children to participate in CFRC’s Shortwave Theatre Festival in 2022 and community calls to see more programming for local youth that carry little to no financial barriers, the 100-year-old local station secured funding to provide inclusive, accessible and free radio theatre camp experiences to community youth ages 12-17.
