Local broadcaster Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) has pledged to tell positive stories of Hong Kong and China by strengthening cross-media and multilingual broadcasting.
According to the Legco Information Technology and Broadcasting Panel meeting on 14 November, Hong Kong’s secretary for commerce and economic development Algernon Yau said that RTHK’s main tasks in the future include strengthening cross-media and multilingual broadcasting, among sectors such as finance, investment, innovation, art and culture, education and lifestyle, to let expats and internationals to keep abreast of Hong Kong’s latest developments and attractions.
Yau also said RTHK would position RTHK TV 32 as a comprehensive information live broadcast station, strengthen government information distribution, and provide more programmes that deepen citizens’ understanding of the country.
