Binghamton Forum Theatre to Host Screening for Service Dog School

At a press conference on Tuesday, Broome County Executive Jason Garnar announced that Binghamton’s Forum Theatre would be hosting a free screening to benefit a service-dog training school for veterans.

The Forum Theatre will screen the documentary “To Be Of Service” on Thursday night. The documentary demonstrates the effect that a service dog has on improving the lives of veterans. The event begins at 5:30 pm and will benefit Stand With Me, a non-profit organization that operates a service-dog training school for veterans.

Following the free showing of the documentary, there will be a question and answer session with experts and a veteran student in the program.

“I’d like everyone to come here to The Forum on Thursday to really experience what Stand With Me is all about,” said County Executive Garnar. “The film that you’re gonna be able to watch will show you a number of veterans’ lives…
