Warner Bros Discovery has signed a multi-year broadcast rights agreement with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) covering all International Biathlon Union (IBU) events in 44 countries across Europe and the Asia Pacific region (APAC).
From the 2022/23 season, Warner Bros Discovery will provide coverage of all men’s and women’s IBU World Cup events on its Eurosport linear network, as well as the Eurosport streaming service and the Discovery+ direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform.
The IBU World Cup gets underway in Finland on November 29th, building towards February’s annual World Championship event in Germany. The agreement ensures Warner Bros Discovery-owned platforms will provide 1,100 hours of live winter sports coverage from more than 190 events during the 2022/23 season.
