ABC Radio Australia will be heard in the Republic of Palau for the first time in more than five years after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Wednesday.
Programs will be carried on Palau’s national radio broadcaster, Eco Paradise FM (EPFM) on FM radio at 87.9FM and on EPFM Ngerel Belau AM Radio at 1584AM from Wednesday 28 July 2023.
The signing was attended by Minister of State Gustav Aitaro and Australian Minister for International Development and the Pacific Pat Conroy, who said Australia’s relationship with Palau was “strong, and only getting stronger”.
Mr Aitaro welcomed the opportunity to develop a closer connection between Palau and Australia.
