Ranchi: The Jharkhand government is all set to rope in social media influencers to create mass awareness through digital media about its ongoing health services across the state.
The IEC (information, education, and communication) cell of the state department of health, medical education, and family welfare, earlier this month, has asked the civil surgeons of all 24 districts of Ranchi to shortlist social media influencers and youtubers who have a follower base ranging between 10,000 and one lakh.
“Social media influencers, digital content creators and youtubers will have to be identified within a month. Then, we will collaborate with them in a way that the IEC materials about ongoing health services in the state can be disseminated to the public,” Dr Anil Kumar, the nodal officer of the IEC cell of the state health mission, said on Tuesday.
