Peter Senger is continuing his work at the Deutsche Welle as Director of DRM. Thanks to his years of experience, especially as head of a DRM steering committee, the 64-year-old has been charged with continuing the successful introduction of digital reception technology.
Born in 1941, Peter Senger started his career with Deutsche Welle in 1965 after he finished his study as Broadcasting Engineer in Berlin.
He worked for more than 16 years at different relay stations of DW in Africa, Europe and America. In 1981 he returned to Germany and was for 13 years head of the “Radio Frequency Department”.
From 1995 until June 2002 he was the Chief Engineer of DW and Deputy Technical Director. In this position he was in charge of new technologies as well as the planning and negotiation of the satellite network for broadcasting DW’s television and radio programmes world-wide.
