The Ukrainian regulator National Council has added a further 16 TV channels to the list allowed to be distributed in the country.
They include DTX, AMC Channel, Trace Urban, Cartoon Network, Zee TV, Mezzo Live HD and TVP World.
In a statement, it said that out of 185 foreign channels that were on the list whose content meets the requirements of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and Ukrainian legislation, 114 submitted documents for renewal. Those that did not apply to the National Council and did not submit documents include Viasat’s channels.

It concludes by saying that the updated list of foreign TV channels is not closed or final.
Distributors and representatives of foreign TV channels can continue to apply to the National Council and submit documents for inclusion in the list.
