Proton-M to orbit US communications satellite

A Russian Proton-M rocket blasted off from Baikonur space center Thursday to place in orbit a US telecommunications satellite to broadcast music, news and variety programming for Sirius XM Radio. The Sirius XM 5 satellite will be beaming radio signals to nearly 20 million subscribers in the US, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
