POA’s annual report reviews past, looks at future

Looking at the past year and future, general manager Kelly Hale delivered the annual report at April’s Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Association Board of Directors meeting.

Goals include being a financially strong, self-sustained community with flexibility to adapt to changing generational needs.

Notable 2022 accomplishments:

• A comprehensive safety program cut employee lost-work time by 97 percent. He said the POA has been accident-free the past six months, for the first time in its 52-year history. Workers’ Compensation costs were reduced, so the POA no longer must self-insure.

For the first time, it could obtain an insurance policy for potential large claims. The Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission oversees the state’s Workers’ Compensation enforcement.
