‘A Christmas Carol’ to open at Sandy Actors Thanksgiving weekend, Friday, Nov. 25

Many know the Charles Dickens’ story of the miserly businessman who is visited by spirits that try to motivate him to reconsider his selfish ways, but have you heard it performed in the style of an old-time radio play?

This holiday season, Sandy Actors Theatre will premiere their live on stage radio play of “A Christmas Carol,” as adapted by Joni Tabler and Curt Hanson.

This is the third, and potentially final, in a series of seasonal radio plays SAT has produced, following performances of “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Miracle on 34th Street.”

“A Christmas Carol” opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, but there will be a preview night performance following a reception for the Wy’East Artisans Guild at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22. The preview night tickets are only $10. The show runs through Sunday, Dec….
