The National Association of Broadcasters and Xperi are asking the Federal Communications Commission to “move forward” with a proposal that would increase the power for most digital stations. The proposal, which would allow digital FMs to increase power and operate with asymmetric sideband power levels, hit a speedbump two months ago when some members of the airline industry expressed worries about the potential impact on their radio-based navigation systems.
