WKTG traces its conception back to 1949 in Madisonville, adopting different call letters throughout the years. Found on the radio dial at 93.9 or online, the station plays a blend of classic and new rock. 

The station integrated itself into the Owensboro community in 1998 when they built a new tower halfway between Madisonville and Owensboro. President and General Manager Bob Kelley said the construction of the tower and the addition of high-definition technology have increased their reach and enhanced their quality. 

“When we built the tower in 1998, we were able to become a real regional radio station,” Kelley said. “We’re one of the few HD radio stations in the area. It sounds amazing when you listen on an HD receiver.”
