$2 Million In CPB Grants Will Strengthen Public Radio’s Statehouse Reporting. | Story

The Corporation for Public Media (CPB) is providing $2.25 million to seven public media outlets to help them increase and strengthen their state government coverage.

The grants, which were announced Wednesday at the Public Media Content Conference in Philadelphia, will help combat the drop in the overall number of full-time statehouse reporters across the country by providing needed resources. Recipients must share the coverage with public media stations and other media organizations across the state. The funds will also support NPR’s ability to provide editorial and training support for station-based reporters covering state government.
