Motorola has introduced a new device to the Indian smartphone market. The company has released a phone called Motorola Edge 40. Coming in the Rs 30,000 price segment, the company claims that the device is the world’s thinnest 5G smartphone with an IP68 rating. It is also the first smartphone to be powered by the MediaTek Dimension 8020 SoC. Motorola Edge 40 is also the first phone in this price segment to come with wireless charging support.

Only one variant of the Motorola Edge 40 smartphone with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is currently launched in India. This device is priced at Rs 29,999. The device will be available in three colors – Reseda Green with vegan leather finish, Eclipse Black and Lunar Blue with PMMA (acrylic glass) finish. The phone will go on sale from May 30 through Flipkart and Motorola India’s retail channels.
