Chief Daniel Matta Mokambe was elected on March 4, 2016, during an extra-ordinary council session. His Royal Highness Chief Daniel Matta Mokambe was on March 4, 2016, elected as new Mayor of Mbonge Council in Meme Division of the South West Region. He replaces Chief Ekong Williams Sakwe who died on January 15, 2016.
