Reliance to invest Rs 20,000-crore in West Bengal on 5G, retail, energy: Mukesh Ambani, ET Telecom

Kolkata: Reliance Industries (RIL) will invest Rs. 20,000 crore in West Bengal in the next three years in 5G, retail and energy (including bio-energy) businesses, chairman Mukesh Ambani said Tuesday.

“Reliance has (already) invested close to Rs 45,000 crore in West Bengal. Today, I am happy to announce that we plan to invest an additional Rs 20,000 crore in the next three years,” the RIL chairman said, speaking at seventh Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in Kolkata,

He added that telecom arm, Reliance Jio is set to take the power of 5G to every nook and corner of West Bengal even as the telco is on track to conclude the world’s fastest 5G rollout in India by end-December.
