With Snapdragon X50, Qualcomm is promising a peak download speeds of 5 gigabits per second (Source: Qualcomm) At the annual 4G /5G summit being held in Hong Kong, Qualcomm has announced its latest modem chipset, Snapdragon X50 5G modem. With Snapdragon X50, Qualcomm becomes the first company to announce a commercial 5G modem chipset solution.
