It was found that intake of several nutrients, including salt, potassium, phosphorus and protein, is either above or below the recommended levels that might be a reason for increased non-communicable disorder risk, including chronic kidney disease (CKD).
The study published in the journal ‘Frontiers in Nutrition’ involved over 400 adult participants encompassing healthy adults and those with early-stage CKD.
