New DNR permit will expand UI’s use of biomass

University of Iowa officials say their institution is much more likely to meet its long-term sustainability goals now that the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has approved a new permit affecting the hundreds of emission sources on campus. Last month, the Iowa DNR issued a Plant-wide Applicability Limit permit to UI.
