BHUBANESWAR: After the Ramayana Express, the railways will soon introduce a Jagannath Express before the next Rath Yatra in Odisha, railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday.
“I have already planned this. We will launch Jagannath Express on a Jagannath circuit. We want to promote the glorious Jagannath culture and rich heritage of Odisha, so that people from outside can experience it. They can also get food from Odisha, including the famous chhenapoda in the train,” said Vaishnaw.

Ramayana Circuit is one of the identified thematic circuits of the Centre. The railways have also sanctioned projects under Buddhist, Tirthankar, Krishna and spiritual circuits. Vaishnaw further said that a Vande Bharat Express train will run in Odisha very soon. “We are creating a circuit in Odisha to run this train. Electrification work is underway in this route,” he said.
