Digicel Caribbean Embraces BroadForward’s DRA for Seamless 5G Transition

On February 14, 2024, Digicel Caribbean made a strategic move that will not only enhance their network capabilities but also pave the way for a seamless transition to 5G technology. The digital operator, serving the Caribbean and Central America, has deployed BroadForward’s Diameter Routing Agent (DRA) across 26 markets.

With the deployment of the BroadForward DRA, Digicel aims to replace legacy systems and efficiently manage network traffic. The DRA, along with the BroadForward Signaling Transfer Point (STP), enables routing for 3G and 4G networks from a converged signaling solution. This solution is also designed to handle future 5G signaling traffic.
