bsnl: Railways to connect Kashmir in early 2024, BSNL will install 300 4G/5G towers daily from September: Ashwini Vaishnaw

Union minister of railways, communications, electronics and information technology Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday informed that the railway line connecting the Kashmir Valley with the rest of India will be completed by the end of this year and special ‘Vande Bharat’ trains will run in the Union Territory next year.

“Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway line is our dream project and this year Modiji gave Rs 6000 crore for this 35,000 crore project. We are seeing great progress on this project. This year in December or next year in January or February trains will run on this route,” said Vaishnaw, who addressed a presser at Nowgam railway station on the outskirts of Srinagar.

The union minister travelled in the train from Srinagar to Baramulla in northern Kashmir, reviewed the progress of the project and met Lieutenant Governor of J&K Manoj Sinha. He is scheduled to meet the Prime…
