AT&T’s Enhanced 5G Network Now Covers Entire Houston Area

AT&T has successfully enhanced its 5G network in the greater Houston area, providing access to its upgraded 5G coverage to 100% of the population. This achievement is a result of AT&T utilizing the mid-band spectrum, specifically the C-band spectrum, which the company acquired in 2021. The accelerated deployment was made possiblethe swift clearance of the remaining C-band spectrumsatellite companies, enabling AT&T to tap into the newly available spectrum earlier than anticipated.

By re-tuning the previously deployed C-band in the initial 46 locations, AT&T has significantly improved capacity, speed, and overall performance. This enhancement translates to increased speeds, reduced latency, higher data capacities, and less tower congestion for users in cities such as Austin, Boston, Dallas, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle.
