AT&T has successfully enhanced its 5G network in the greater Houston area, providing access to its upgraded 5G coverage to 100% of the population. This achievement is a result of AT&T utilizing the mid-band spectrum, specifically the C-band spectrum, which the company acquired in 2021. The accelerated deployment was made possiblethe swift clearance of the remaining C-band spectrumsatellite companies, enabling AT&T to tap into the newly available spectrum earlier than anticipated.
By re-tuning the previously deployed C-band in the initial 46 locations, AT&T has significantly improved capacity, speed, and overall performance.
