Amid concerns surrounding 5G and people’s health, Digicel Fiji chief executive officer (CEO) Farid Mohammed has given his reassurance that Digicel will “put the health and safety of our customers at the forefront of everything we do”, as the company prepares to roll out its 5G services in Fiji.
“We understand there may be questions surrounding the introduction of 5G technology, and we want to assure all Fijians that we are taking every measure to ensure a safe and seamless rollout of 5G technology,” Mr Mohammed said.
“From a health perspective, Digicel Fiji emphasises that there is no scientific evidence linking telecommunications technologies, including 5G, to adverse health impacts. Digicel Fiji aligns itself with the position of global health authorities, including the World Health Organisation (WHO).”
