Downtown Manhattan to be lit green for Veterans Week

The Flint Hills Veteran’s Coalition has paired with the City of Manhattan to light up downtown Manhattan with the color green.

The proclamation that authorized Operation Green Light is one of multiple Veterans Day proclamations that have been acquired by the Flint Hills Veteran’s Coalition from both Riley County and the City of Manhattan.

Operation Green Light serves as the prelude to the Veteran’s Day festivities put on by the coalition. The celebration theme this year is honoring veterans of the Cold War and includes events such as the Veterans Day Parade from Manhattan Town Center…
