Hit Christian TV show ‘The Chosen’ delays streaming release of 4th season

The Chosen, the hit TV show about the life of Jesus that films extensively near Dallas, is delaying the streaming release of its fourth season.

In a Sunday video on YouTube, series creator Dallas Jenkins, who lives near the show’s set in Midlothian, said “there are some legal matters that we are dealing with right now that are hopefully being resolved.” Jenkins did not provide more information on the legal issues or when the season’s streaming release will be, but said the show’s creators are “doing everything in our power to get this taken care of as soon as possible.”

The Chosen is one of the biggest crowdfunded media projects ever produced, having raised more than $40 million as of 2021 for the production of its first three seasons. The first three seasons of the show were released for free on The Chosen’s app.
