The creators of faith-based TV series The Chosen are celebrating after the show recorded more than 400 million worldwide views in April, according to Angel Studios.
“You did it! Thank you for getting us that much closer to a billion today,” a post on the show’s Facebook page read.
The series, which narrates the life of Christ and his disciples, has been viewed more than 405,268,000 times worldwide, with fans mainly based in the U.S, Brazil, Canada, UK and India.
Directed by Dallas Jenkins and distributed by Angel Studios, The Chosen is the first-ever series based on the life of Jesus and, in 2019, became the No. 1 crowdfunded media project in history.
In a recent video statement, published in the The Chosen’s YouTube Channel, Jenkins said the reaction by fans of the show had completely “reignited” his faith in Christ.
