Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest In Hopkinsville

A Christian County man was charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on East 7th Street Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 42-year-old Selwyn Jackson for a turn signal violation and his registration plate not being legible.

During the stop, he reportedly admitted to having marijuana and cocaine and admitted to using drugs prior to the stop.

He was arrested and charged with failure to or improper signal, no registration plates, improper display of registration plates, failure to produce an insurance card, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana.
