It’s been three years since TobyMac’s first-born son, Truett, died at age 21. TobyMac’s looking back at how it strengthened his faith, sharing that contemporary Christian music industry is a beautiful family and how grateful he is for the people that came around him.
When asked by Christian Headlines, what advice he would give for someone in a similar situation, he said, “Everyone grieves differently.”
“I think you need to figure out that God gives and takes away, and you have to be okay with that. And once you’re okay with that, I think your faith actually increases greatly. I found myself to be closer to God in the last three years than I ever have in my life.
