FARGO — With more than 30 years behind the microphone, Robbie Daniels is used to keeping her cool on the air.
Thursday tested the composure for the radio personality.
Daniels celebrated her first day of her new job at KFGO, just two weeks after she announced she was leaving her longtime spot with the classic rock station, 107.9 The Fox.
“It’s been overwhelming, in a good way,” Daniels said Thursday afternoon. “It’s been a crazy day with
the social media
and my phone blew up.”
Daniels has been a presence with The Fox for almost 30 years, but said she needed a change.
“I didn’t leave The Fox to go to KFGO,” she said. “It’s been a really tough year. In October will be the one-year anniversary of my son’s death. I felt as though I needed a change. I needed to take a break.”
