RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health is encouraging all Tennesseans to receive a flu vaccine. The vaccinations for the flu will be free on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at three locations with one providing a drive-thru service.
Influenza, or “the flu” is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness. Serious outcomes of flu infection can result in hospitalization or death. Some people, such as older adults, young children and people with per-existing health conditions are at high risk of serious flu complications.
