In a bid to end the supremacy on world opinion held by Western media, China is aggressively pushing to transmit news in English and gobble up financially troubled foreign news outlets. On July 1, the Xinhua News Agency began satellite broadcasting of its CNC World reports in English. CNC stands for China Xinhua News Network Corp.
