The Resident co-creator Amy Holden Jones believes the medical drama could “go on and on” despite rumours of cancellation.
During her recent chat with TVLine, she namechecked everything from the sticky Fox/Disney merger to the longevity of ER, in terms of why the show’s fate still remains uncertain right now after six seasons.
“I consider it to be one of the biggest triumphs of The Resident that what we’re doing is showing people’s evolution – the lives of being doctors over time,” she said.
