The Handmaid’s Tale star McKenna Grace has opened up about how she deals with hard-hitting roles after turning in brilliant performances in several of them.
Grace plays Esther Keyes in The Handmaid’s Tale. In this season of the HBO show, Esther is raped, poisoned herself and Madeline Brewer’s Janine and falls into a coma. She awakens from the coma to find out she is pregnant by her rapist.
She is then blamed for the pregnancy by Ann Dowd’s Aunt Lydia. Grace has also starred in A Friend of the Family, which depicts the true life story of Jan Broberg, who was kidnapped twice over a period of years.
