The Raspberry Pi Pico W is the latest product built on the company’s own silicon. Priced at just $6 USD, it features an RP2040 microcontroller, which is built on TSMC’s 40nm low-power process, complete with two 133MHz Arm Cortex-M0+ cores, 264kB of on-chip SRAM, a CYW43439 wireless chip, and a custom programmable I/O subsystem.
Similar to other Raspberry Pi boards, its radio circuitry is safely encapsulated in a metal shield can, thus reducing compliance costs for customers who want to integrate it into their own products.
