DOWNTOWN INDIANA CHRISTMAS TREE IN PLACE FOR HOLIDAYS

The tree that will be the centerpiece for Downtown Indiana’s holiday celebrations was brought into town earlier today.

The tree was cut down this morning from the former E-Mar Acres in Saltsburg and made the trip up 286 to 422 and went down a bit of Philadelphia Street before entering IRMC Park around 10:00 this morning.  The tree was selected by Gregg Van Horn of the Indiana County Christmas Tree Growers talked about selecting the perfect tree for Indiana.

With the 43-foot Concolor Fir now in place in IRMC Park, it does mean that 7th Street between Philadelphia Street and Nixon Avenue is closed off to vehicle traffic for the duration of the holiday…
